9 month pictures

We took Noah for some professional pictures since we haven't done them since he was 4 months old. They turned out great!

Busy week for firsts

Noah has been busy learning new things lately. Here's a few that have really impressed us:

1. He has learned to say "bye-bye." We spent an entire trip to Target going up and down every row saying "bye bye" over and over and over again! It's really fun to hear him repeat us!

2. Saturday, we finally broke down and took him to get his hair cut. He was developing quite the rat tail in the back and since I'm no fan of the mullet, it was time for it to go. Here are a few pictures:

At first, he wasn't so sure this was a good idea.

3. He is on the verge of saying "Uh-oh." This means that anyone around him now falls victim to the game. You know the game...the one where Noah throws something down, says "uh-oh" and you pick it up. Repeat 1000 times.

4. And the most exciting news of all........

Noah took 2 steps on his own today!!! Lacy and I were sitting in the living room and he was playing in the floor between us. We looked down and he was standing by himself and then he took 2 steps and grabbed onto his exersaucer. Lacy and I looked at each other in disbelief!

So, my baby is growing so fast. I can't believe he'll be a year old in a little over 2 months. Where has the time gone?

And now it's snowing...

So after a week of up and down temps, it decided to REALLY snow today. We've been waiting for the day to dress Noah up as a dog and play in the snow and it finally arrived. Yea!

Noah wasn't quite sure what to think so we went back and forth between tears and this "what the heck?" look.

He liked it much better when someone was holding him. Apparently he's not a fan of the cold hiney.

"Hmm, wonder what this white stuff tastes like?"

Apparently Noah didn't have very good aim, so Daddy decided to teach him how to do it.

The following picture has nothing to do with snow. I just felt the need to point out that Noah is developing a dimple like his mommy. I am ever so proud. :)

Noah meets Damon

Noah finally got to meet his Uncle Damon this Monday. Since, Damon didn't come with Laura and the kids this summer and we didn't go to Arizona for Christmas, it took 9 months for them to meet. Noah was pretty impressed.

Damon brought a present---Noah's first 4-wheeler! At first, Noah insisted that it was a new chew toy, but we did convince him otherwise.

He's a big fan now! He even got it to move on his own last night!

Better to bite you with...

Noah cut another tooth today. We're up to 7 with #8 soon to arrive!

The park

We took Noah to a park yesterday to enjoy the beautiful weather. There was a walking trail, a lake, ducks, and a swing! He absolutely LOVED swinging! Daddy even joined in on the fun!

Eventually the walking tired him out. All in all we had a blast and mommy and daddy got 2 miles of walking in! We definitely will be going back!

Tomorrow's high is 38 degrees, so it might be a few days....
