We are so in trouble...

Noah learned something new today. We're thrilled.

Note: Lance was standing just off to the side of the camera. You can see Noah trying to convince Lance that it is okay towards the end.

Fun times in the pool

We went to a 6 year old's birthday party on Saturday. Up until this point, Noah has only had his toes dipped in an actual pool. (Mama was a little too overprotective last summer.) Judging his reaction to the baby pool in the backyard, I wasn't so sure that he would enjoy the big pool. Boy, was I wrong! He loved it! He didn't like the floatie so much (and it could have something to do with the crappy floatie from Target that lost all of its air by the time we left) but he loved being held by daddy in the water!
Slam Dunk!

This has nothing to do with the pool. It's just too cute not to post. I haven't quite figured out how I'm gonna say "no" to these eyes.

Happy Father's Day, Lance!

One of Lance's Father's Day presents was a framed fingerpainting by Noah. At first, he enjoyed getting a little messy but then he tasted it and wasn't impressed. He also got upset with me for not letting him touch the camera.

Apparently rubbing his leg with lots of paint made him feel better:

Backyard fun

Noah got a really cool playground for his birthday. Here are some pics of his first time trying it out. He LOVED it!
First time to see it in the backyard
Silly face!He loved the swing!
He loved it so much he was clapping!

Trying out the slide...not so sure at first

Weeeeee!
Let's do that again!
Oh, man! I almost had it!

Ribbit, Ribbit

Noah received a pool from his awesome babysitter, Kay, for his birthday. We finally got a chance to try it out this past weekend. Even with a pump, that thing was killer to blow up. I think I gained some muscle in my arms though!

Here is Noah "trying it out."
I think he likes it!
Sporting his swimsuit and ready to swim!
"What is that?"

" What the heck? Get me out of here!"
"Maybe it's not so bad..."

"This is fun!"

"Ok, I'm done!"

The following picture makes you wonder if people are REALLY that stupid. Someone must've tried this out and sued. Seriously? Did they have to put "No diving" on the baby pool?

Ah, good times.

So as my birthday weekend comes to a close, I feel like reflecting on good times. (And yes, I said "birthday weekend." I'm a kid like that.)

Friday (my actual bday): We kept a dear old friend of mine's little boy, Mason. He is 2 1/2 months old and PRECIOUS! He looks just like his daddy...especially when he cries! It did help solidify the fact that I'm not ready for baby Tippett #2 yet. Lance even stayed home from work to help (and it WAS my birthday.) It was kinda sweet to watch Lance with a little one again. :) Lacy ordered us Chipotle for lunch and all was good. We spent the evening sans baby with friends at the Rangers game. Good times.

Saturday: We set up Noah's backyard play area. (And by we, I mean Lance.) He is hooked up for the summer! He has a pool, a sandbox and a swingset castle. Good times are ahead. Noah tried the pool out and although he wasn't a fan at first, he enjoyed bits and pieces by the end. I'll post some pics later. :)

Sunday: My family met us at Pei Wei for some delicious birthday grub. I love me some Pei Wei. When we got home, Noah took a 2 1/2 hour nap, and so did we. More good times.

I'm trying not to let the fact that I am now 31 overshadow the birthday weekend fun. It's just a number, right?

Birthday party

I remember being so excited about Noah being born at the end of the school year last year. I forgot to fast forward to this year. Planning a party and ending a school year is hard! This is the best excuse I can come up with as to why it took me a week to post the pictures.
