Shout out to Shipley!

I just want to say I have a great friend in Shipley. It's good to know she's got my back!

Thanks for the laughs today. :)

BTW, Lance is still mad and laughing at the same time!

Noah's first circus trip and his crafty mom

We took Noah to the Shrine circus Thursday night for his first circus experience. Lance's mom got us free tickets so we figured we would go and see how he liked it. I have never seen him sit so still and wide-eyed in all his life! He loved it!

This is how he sat for the first 30 minutes or so. His hand didn't move!

Then, the animal parade started and he went CRAZY pointing!

Loving the motorcycles

This picture is so cool. I'm amazed that I took it!
And since I never post (according to Shipley) I am doing a double post this morning. I decided to be all crafty this weekend and make Noah a Halloween shirt. After much frustration with the wrong dye, stained orange hands and two trips to the craft store, he turned out with a pretty awesome shirt. Too bad we live in Texas and it's freakin hot in October.

Just like my daddy

Noah was all geared up and ready for Lance's soccer game last week. Too bad it was bedtime by the time it started!

Just call me Pip...

I'd like to use my blog to thank my anonymous benefactor. Apparently someone has paid for me to wear jeans for the next 6 Wednesdays at school. I can't figure out for the life of me who it is, so I figured I'd use my blog as an outlet to thank them. I don't know if this person is a blog reader, but I needed somewhere to say thanks.

Thank you whoever you are!!!

My Dad

Please keep my dad in your prayers. He has been on the trip of a lifetime in Europe with two of his best friends for the past 10 days. (See 3 Ps in Yurp link to the right!) Today, he returned home. About an hour into his 9 hour flight, he began throwing up and continued the entire way home. When he reached the airport, they rushed him to the hospital. The doctors determined he had a mild heart attack. They were able to put a stint in, but there was some heart damage. He is doing better, but very uncomfortable right now. Lance and I were at the hospital all evening with him and our family.
It is really hard to hear words and phrases like "heart attack," "stint," and "balloon" when someone is talking about my dad. In my mind he is invincible. I can't wrap my brain around it just yet. When I try, I tear up and I can't breathe. God is good and his timing is just right. I am so thankful that this did not happen yesterday when Daddy was in Rome. (Although he was with the Pope. Surely he could've done something.)
Please pray for his healing and for our family as we are going through this right now.

Fireproof

Lance and I went to see the movie, Fireproof, tonight. If you have the chance to see this movie, do everything you can to see it. It is such an amazing story of God's love and how to love each other. I left the movie with a renewed sense of love for my Lord and my husband.
It may not last long in the theaters, so go see it soon!
